Underworlds and Otherworlds: A Mythical Writing Workshop

Join us for a Mythical Writing Workshop where we will explore stories of encounters and exchanges with Underworlds and Otherworlds - from lands of the dead to fairy realms to parallel dimensions and more. These worlds may present themselves as frightening, seductive, or both; they hold the danger of being able to enter and not being able to leave, as well as the possibilities of valuable lessons to be learned and gifts to be brought back to the human world. 

This workshop will follow a sequence of presentation, group discussion on the theme, followed by a story from the Koskimo people, a First Nations group of the Pacific Northwest. After the storytelling and discussion, there will be an associative free-writing exercise and optional sharing of written work. An entire workshop usually lasts up to 2 hours and is an interactive, creative group experience.
