Demeter’s story offers a multifaceted archetypal template of a transformative and healing journey that delivers an empowering message: the body is mother. As Demeter goes in search of her daughter, she sets in motion the process of reclaiming herself. Demeter models and guides the way back home to self after a loss, when at a crossroads in life, and while facing an unexpected event. Her struggles illustrate common human life experiences: bliss, loss, grief, despair, contempt, anger, disenfranchisement, victimhood, and empowerment. 


The reimagining process is about accessing the archetypal spectrum and softening the hardened tissue of the dominating narrative that has held Demeter’s mythic figure hostage and reclaim the liberatory and empowering potential of mending the relationship with the feminine.
