Awe is one of the most vital aspects of mythology, according to Joseph Campbell. The everyday moments mix with the extraordinary as we stop to watch a sunset, witness a dolphin leap from the ocean, or see lightning fill the sky. The details may change but the phenomena has remained constant over the millennia.

A sense of awe emerges from profane events of daily life when we tune in to listen or pay attention to the world around us. We may begin noticing synchronicities or even find insight that guides us in ways we could not have imagined otherwise, connecting us with something bigger than ourselves.
