Dr. Heather A. Taylor has a Ph.D. and Masters in Mythology with an emphasis in depth psychology. She also has a Masters in Producing Film and Video.
Taylor’s award-winning documentary, Breaking Through The Clouds: The First Women’s National Air Derby continues to air on PBS, won more than a dozen film festivals and the prestigious Combs Gates Award from the National Aviation Hall of Fame. Taylor is inducted into the Amelia Earhart Forest of Friendship. Her production company is Archetypal Images.
Tayor is also the recipient of scholarships from the Joseph Campbell Foundation, Christine Downing Dissertation Scholarship, Walter Odajnyk scholarship and The Presidential Scholarship. She was also awarded the Kore Dissertation of Merit from the Association of Women in Myth in 2025 (her dissertation focuses on horses in mythology).
Heather is co-founder of The International Society of Mythology.
