The Eleusinian Mysteries: A Mythic Journey To Reclaim the Soul

This three-week course is for anyone drawn to ancient wisdom and mythology as practical tools for self-discovery and guidance—especially for individuals at a crossroads seeking direction in their lives. Together, we will explore one of the ancient world’s most enduring spiritual traditions: the Eleusinian Mysteries, which honored the goddesses Demeter and Persephone for nearly 2,000 years. Rooted in the myth of Persephone's journey into the Underworld, these mysteries guided initiates toward a transformed understanding of themselves and the world. This course invites you into that same journey. Each week pairs a short talk on the myth and mysteries with hands-on depth-psychological practices, such as dreamwork and active imagination, rooted in the work of Carl G. Jung (no prior experience required). The intention is to support your engagement with the mysteries in your own, personal way and to see what they might reveal to you.
