Across the world, well over 100 million people of diverse religious, ethnic, and other backgrounds regularly employ Yoruba mythology to reestablish cosmic order in their lives. While some of humanity’s great mythological traditions such as Greek & Roman, Celtic, Norse, or Egyptian mythology may have played a central role in guiding the religious, political, and cultural lives of people in the past, Yoruba mythology does so for a rapidly growing number of people, increasingly outside of its place of origin.
